(Economics) (UI), MBA (Management), PhD (Organizational Behaviour) (RSU), FIHNR, FIMC, MTAMN, MCIPM Professor Isaac Zeb-Obipi is the 12th Vice-Chancellor and 9th Substantive Vice-Chancellor of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt. He is a distinguished Professor of Management with specialization in Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. Professor Zeb-Obipi earned his Bachelor of Education degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan, graduating with Second Class Honours, Upper Division. He subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in Management and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Organizational Behaviour from Rivers State University. In addition to his academic qualifications, he holds professional designations including FIHNR, FIMC, MTAMN and MCIPM, as reflected in official Rivers State University records. He began his academic career at Rivers State University in 1997 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the ranks to become Professor of Management in 2018. Over the years, he has served the University in several strategic capacities, including Head of Department, Dean of Student Affairs, Director of the Information and Communication Technology Centre, University Orator, member of Senate, member of the Governing Council, and member of the University Management Committee. Professor Zeb-Obipi is also the 79th Inaugural Lecturer of Rivers State University. His inaugural lecture, titled “People Management Tripod and Worker Productivity: The Solute, Solvent and Solution,” reflects his deep expertise in people management, organizational behaviour, human resource management and workforce productivity. His academic and professional journey has been defined by a strong commitment to people development, institutional growth, digital transformation, leadership and organizational effectiveness. Professor Chinedu Ezirim is a distinguished Professor of Finance, Banking and Finametrics at the University of Port Harcourt, and one of Nigeria’s accomplished scholars in the fields of finance, banking and management sciences. A graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and MBA in Finance, Professor Ezirim later obtained his postgraduate degrees in Financial Economics from the University of Port Harcourt. He joined the University of Port Harcourt in 1994 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the academic ranks to become a Professor in 2007. Over the course of his remarkable career, he has held several strategic leadership positions within the University, including Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Dean of the Graduate School of Management, Business and Trade, and Head of the Department of Finance and Banking. He is also a long-standing Member of Senate of the University of Port Harcourt. Professor Ezirim’s academic contribution is extensive. His scholarship spans over 200 publications, including more than 150 journal articles, nine books and several book chapters. His research and teaching interests cut across finance, banking, financial economics, investment, risk management and finametrics. He has supervised more than 25 doctoral candidates, over 100 master’s students and well over 1,000 undergraduate students, while also assessing numerous professors and senior academics across Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing and Management. Beyond Nigeria, Professor Ezirim has served as an External Examiner to several universities and tertiary institutions and has participated in numerous international conferences across the United States and Europe.
